Monday, August 31, 2020 -

The term of the short work allowance was extended for another two months by the president's decision.

The President's decision to extend the short work allowance for short work workplaces on the grounds of a compelling reason in the scope of periodic situations caused by external effects due to the new Coronavirus (Kovid-19) was published in today's issue of the Official Gazette.

The short work allowance application, which was launched on 26 March 2020 under the Social Protection Shield, was extended for two more months for existing beneficiaries.

Thus, based on the date they start, most employers will continue to benefit from the short work allowance until October 31.
